A woman who lives in a $2.15 million home in DC’s lavish Palisades neighborhood was caught stealing a $2,500 designer purse at the Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase, Montgomery County Police allege in a new criminal case. Susan Ebersole, 39, of the 5100 block of Lowell Lane in NW DC, is charged with one count of theft between $1,500 and $25,000. Around 4 p.m. on Friday, January 29, a Saks loss prevention officer spotted Ebersole walking around the department store’s purse section.
