A controversial start to the year for Lincoln University President Dr. John Moseley and the Board of Curators after the University’s Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Antoinette Bonnie Candia-Bailey, took her own life on January 8. Candia-Bailey’s passing has sparked outrage from LU alumni across the country who are now calling for Moseley’s resignation.

New documents sent to KRCG and written by Candia-Bailey on the day she took her own life, outlining University President Dr. John Moseley as causing “enough harm and mental damage.”

“That day I was really beating myself up because I thought, if I had just read the entire email, maybe I could have saved her life,” said Monica Graham, a close friend of Candia-Bailey’s since college.
