Liberals cannot stop doxing people they disagree with

The liberal left cannot stop doxing people that they disagree with. They have increasingly made their doxing attacks more visible online. While I know both sides of the political aisle have done some immoral things, the left has increasingly lost their minds and will dox people over the slightest things.

I know this personally because for a short while I participated in a form of doxing. After the highly publicized death of George Floyd, I joined several Facebook groups aimed at combating racism. Within the group, people would post social media statuses and videos of people they deemed racist. People in the group would then go to work researching the person, pulling up their jobs, family members, next-of-kins, addresses and more. People would leave bad reviews for business owners they didn’t agree with, e-mail the employees of the people they did not like, and went to great lengths to destroy their livelihood.

As with any echo chamber, I got swept up with people who thought and aligned with my same stances, so I was inclined to pitch in on the research. I had somehow become convinced that anyone who did not agree with my view was immediately a racist.  After some time, you could see the attitude in the group shift to add more common sense and nuance that not every statement we disagreed with meant someone was a racist. When someone would point that out, the moderators would often ignore them and leave the person’s information up.

I can’t recall my first “aha” moment of realizing that every situation deserves nuance and people don’t deserve to be immediately doxed for having a detracting opinion. I just remember eventually feeling like some of the situations that were being called racist in the group were just a difference in opinion. For example, even something as simple as calling out that the “peaceful protests” that occurred that summer had turned into riots (which is a fact) would ruffle the feathers of some group members.  After a while I stopped engaging all together.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the introspection or desire to see the error of their ways. As such, the left is still heavily involved in doxing others to this day. Here are several examples of liberals aggressively doxing people on and offline, directing hate to people they disagree with.

A few days ago, a TikTok video of a young man that allegedly just moved to New York for his job went viral. In the TikTok, he explains the city does not have any real grocery stores and that if he wants to get food, he would have to get it from a bodega. Well, this did not sit right with many people on Twitter who deemed him a gentrifier. They quickly dug into his other videos on TikTok and decided he was classist and racist. They mentioned his employer several times on Twitter bringing it to their attention. While he was most likely let go for posting a confidential hiring document, the attention drawn to his videos and the ensuing mob definitely played a part in his firing

This is even more true considering the news about Roe vs Wade being overturned by the Supreme Court and the conservative judges. A group called “Ruth Sent Us” decided to post the Justices’ home addresses online and encouraged people to go there to protest. Their addresses were left online for quite some time and some are still up today.

There have been countless instances of left-leaning people and associations doxing right-leaning people, many times without incident. Most notably, CNN threatened to dox someone over a meme and they got sued for defamation by Nicholas Sandmann after thrusting him into the public view.

The only difference is that often liberals have a more protected status under their occupations of being “journalists” that have enabled them to dox in an “acceptable manner.” They disguise it as due diligence, or research, or fact gathering. Meanwhile, what leftists consider as conservatives doxing is usually conservatives posting things that liberals have said in their own words and/or using their own ideology.

What I have observed is that liberals do not have a limit to what they will do or how low they will go when doxing because they know they will get a pass and can evade social media policies. The left doesn’t have a bottom and can sometimes behave like bullies. My suggestion would be to own up to it and wear it like a badge of honor if they are going to continue to dox. Stop attempting to pretend to be the only political and ideological side that has a moral high ground.
