The Palisades Fire continues to spread in Los Angeles County into the weekend, after a flare-up Friday night forced expanded evacuation orders and road closures, as the flames now threaten the Brentwood/Mendeville Canyon and Encino areas. The Palisades Fire is one of several massive blazes still burning throughout Los Angeles County, including the Eaton Fire in the Altadena and Pasadena area, the Kenneth Fire in the West Hills area and the Hurst Fire near Sylmar.
Palisades Fire Evacuations
Evacuation orders and warnings have been issued in the cities of Malibu, Los Angeles and Santa Monica, as well as many unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. As the flames spread eastward Friday night, the Los Angeles Fire Department issued new orders and warnings stretching past the 405 Freeway approaching Bel Air.
Mandatory evacuation zone:
- From the Pacific Ocean (west) to the 405 Freeway (east), San Vicente Boulevard (south), and Encino Reservoir (north).
New evacuation warnings:
- Sunset Boulevard (south) to Mulholland Drive (north), Bellagio Road/Roscomare Road (east) to the 405 Freeway (west).
- Mulholland/Sepulveda Boulevard (south) to Ventura Boulevard (north), the 405 Freeway (east) to Louise Avenue (west).
