The West Monroe Police Department said Anthony Holland, Jr., who was arrested on April 23 in connection to the human remains found in the Ouachita River in January, admitted to dismembering the victim’s body inside his West Monroe home.

On January 24, human remains were found in the Ouachita River in Catahoula Parish. The remains were later identified to belong to Sheryl Turner, 19, of New Iberia. Turner’s family said she went to to Ouachita Parish to stay with someone she met online. Her family said they last heard from her on January 2.
