A 23-year-old Maryland man was found dead while he was on vacation with his family on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, police said on Wednesday.

Dinari McAlmont, of Bowie, Maryland, was found unresponsive on a beach on Saturday, according to a statement from the Royal Bahamas Police Force. A spokesperson for Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas confirmed on Wednesday that one of its guests died.

Police said that a post-mortem examination revealed that McAlmont died as a result of drowning.
