Acting on an international warrant issued by South Africa, police in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrested two brothers from the wealthy Gupta family which has been accused of state capture.
The Gupta brothers are accused of benefiting from their close relationship with South Africa’s former President Jacob Zuma, and wielding undue influence. Both the Guptas as well as Zuma deny the allegations.
